September is National Recovery Month

National Recovery Month, sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, is celebrated every September to educate Americans that substance use disorder treatment and mental health services can enable those with these disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives. In observance of Recovery Month, learn the facts! For example, did you know that substance abuse disorders, while chronic in nature, have no greater re-occurrence (or relapse) rates than hypertension and asthma? Therefore, substance use disorders should be treated like any other chronic illness.
